Halve Waste

Over the next two decades, waste generation from the greater Albury region is expected to increase rapidly. Meanwhile, Albury Waste Management Centre is filling too fast, and at current levels of disposal will be full in less than 20 years. To tackle this problem the Halve Waste program was launched, with plans to halve the amount of material entering Albury Landfill between 2010 and 2014. On Halve Waste website you can find out more about the initiatives of the program, which engages residents, businesses and schools in the greater Albury region.
